OptionKaro is being led by Sandeep Rao and Neel Shah who collectively bring with them 30 years of investing and trading experience. We also have other team members who work with us in limited capacities, on testing strategies and developing tools.
OK Quant Research is a registered LLP. From a SEBI standpoint, since we do not advise about portfolios or stocks we do not fall under the RA or RIA regulations. The forum is meant only to discuss and learn Index Options strategies
At the moment OptionKaro is fully bootstrapped by the founders and does not intend to raise any money in the near future
There are multiple reasons why OptionKaro has decided to charge fees.
- To be able to afford both technical and quantitative resources to bring the best of options strategies to the community.
- To build option analysis tools which would be a part of the subscription fees.
- Most trading models require a dedicated effort to track and to be refined over years and based on market regimes, something that we realised as founders and was one of the key reasons for us to dedicate our time fully to this endeavour
- Founders and other members of the OptionKaro team will dedicate time to moderate and add considerable value to the discussions.
- Direct fees are the only source of revenue for OptionKaro at the moment, we do not have any other implicit agreements for sharing revenues with either brokers or other intermediaries.

When it comes to trading ideas its very hard to say who owns what, as most strategies evolve over time. It usually evolves over time, however, if we discuss any strategies that we believe has a specific source we will make sure we cite those sources and not claim them to be ours in any way.
